After a tiring day of fighting crime, UltraGirl (Rachel Adams) arrives home, intending to rehydrate and relax. In the darkness of her living room, she sees movement. Turning the lights on, UltraGirl is confronted by a shadowy figure who is impervious to her powers. The Shadow Demon envelops her, causing her to collapse from extreme cold. As UltraGirl awakens, she is held spread-eagle on her stomach by four gauntleted hands. A voice from beyond calls out to her ... it is The Purge! When UltraGirl won't submit to his plans, The Purge releases The Shadow Demon to blast her with cold energy multiple times, tearing her costume to shreds. In her weakened state, UltraGirl is unable to resist The Shadow Demon entering her, possessing her. After replacing her tattered costume, The Purge commands UltraGirl, now under his control, to kill The Collector. She can only answer, "Yes Master."
